Recovering Christian Alcoholics and Addicts helping other Alcoholics and Addicts maintain a clean and sober way of living through Spiritual Principles and Growth in Jesus Christ.
Self-run, self-supported, group shared residences, Harbor House homes are democratically run by the residents as a functionally extended family. Staff members are guides for the house residents and maintain day-to-day operations. Each home has a House Manager who lives on site and a Senior Resident Committee, which helps to resolve minor disputes and assigns consequences for minor rule infractions.
Through the help of Christians, the 12-step self-help community, spiritual teachings and peer involvement, Harbor House provides the alcoholic and addict with an effective means of relapse prevention by promoting self-governance, responsibility, participation in support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous and the practice of spiritual principles. These aspects of our program are paramount to recovery and the restoration of self-esteem.
Since its inception, Harbor House has worked with addicts and alcoholics ranging from businessmen without a criminal record to newly released ex-offenders with extensive criminal backgrounds. We are open to dual-diagnosed men with medication on a case-by-case basis.
Harbor House Group, Inc., is a not-for-profit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Florida. We are tax exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Florida Statutes.
